Many thanks to everyone who has been engaging with our joint interactive social media campaign, and have been responding to the weekly prompts. If you want to catch up with all the action so far, search for hashtag <strong>#TolkienReadingDay2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the actual day itself draws near, we&#8217;re proud to announce guest speakers for each of our live events on the 25th of March:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Scholar in Residence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/fantasy.glasgow.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/DrDimitraFimi-1-200x300-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2735\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dr Dimitra Fimi<\/strong>, co-director of the Centre for Fantasy and the Fantastic, author of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/dimitrafimi.com\/books\/tolkien-race-and-cultural-history-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tolkien, Race, and Cultural History<\/a><\/em> (Palgrave Macmillan, 2008), co-editor of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/harpercollins.co.uk\/products\/a-secret-vice-tolkien-on-invented-languages-j-r-r-tolkien?variant=32603649704014\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">A Secret Vice: Tolkien on Invented Languages<\/a><\/em>, and twice winner of Tolkien Society awards for her work on Tolkien, will participate in all three events as Scholar in Residence.
